SHISMUN is Scottish High International School's annual Model United Nations Conference

Over the course of its evolution, SHISMUN has transcended mere conference status, emerging as the crown jewel of our institution. It has fostered a vibrant community of passionate students, embodying the very essence of the event. This collective camaraderie now forms the bedrock upon which each successive iteration thrives. While faces change and years pass, the determination and love put into crafting this conference remain the same. 

ABOUT US

Nine years ago, students at Scottish High International School transformed an idea into reality, giving rise to the SHISMUN. Since its inception, SHISMUN has remained true to its student-led nature, consistently organizing conferences with agendas that are relevant in the current day and pique the interests of delegates.

THE COMMITTEES

Contemplating the administration of UNCLOS , with a focus on prioritizing violations, amendments, and provisions, and strengthening it through cooperation with an international body.

UNGA

Contemplating the acts of aggression caused by Boko Haram in the African region emphasing on the constant threat of attacks by insurgents

UNSC

Deliberation on the human rights violation and accountability in the Tigray region (Ethiopia) with emphasis on international cooperation.

UNHRC

Exploring the intersection of free speech provisions and the potential escalation of authoritarianism, with a special emphasis on the suspension of MPs

AIPPM

Discussion on the standardization of the interpretation and use of VAR in game defining moments

UEFA

Deliberation upon entry of Audi through a full takeover with special emphasis on Andretti Cadillac being denied entry into F1 for 2025 and 2026

FIA

Discussion on reforms to bring in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) with emphasis on student welfare.
